By accessing or using ResumeHowl ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
ResumeHowl is a web application that generates personal portfolio websites from uploaded resumes using AI technology. The Service is offered in two tiers: a free plan and a paid Pro plan ($29 for the first year, renewing at $49/year).
You must be at least 16 years of age to use ResumeHowl. If you are between 16 and 17 years old (or under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account on behalf of a minor between 16 and 17, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms, assumes full responsibility for the minor's use of the Service, and accepts liability for any activity conducted through the account.
Users under 16: We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are under 16, you may not create an account or use the Service in any capacity. If we discover that a user is under 16, we will terminate the account and delete all associated data.
Users 16–17: If you are between 16 and 17, you represent and warrant that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and our Privacy Policy, has consented to your use of the Service, and understands that your resume data (including personally identifiable information such as your name, education history, and contact details) will be processed by AI systems provided by Anthropic and stored on third-party infrastructure as described in our Privacy Policy. Your parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review, modify, or delete your data, or to revoke consent and terminate your account.
Age confirmation: By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and that, if you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to require proof of age or parental consent at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts where eligibility cannot be verified.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.
Free accounts are limited to 5 site generations per month and receive a preview of their site. Free accounts cannot publish live sites.
Pro accounts include up to 20 site generations per month (resetting on the first of each calendar month) and one published live site. This limit is designed for people who want to try different templates, tweak their site, and get things looking right.
What is not reasonable: using bots, scripts, or automated tools to generate sites in bulk. Creating multiple accounts to get around limits. Anything that puts a strain on the service for everyone else.
If your usage looks unusual we will reach out and ask about it before taking action. We are not trying to catch anyone out. But we do reserve the right to suspend or restrict accounts that are clearly abusing the system.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including your resume data. Sites generated by the Service are yours to use, share, and distribute. ResumeHowl retains ownership of the Service itself, including templates, code, and AI systems.
Pro subscriptions are billed annually at $29 for the first year, renewing at $49/year thereafter. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account billing settings. When you cancel:

All refund requests should be sent to hello@resumehowl.com with the email address associated with your account. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.
Your resume data is processed by AI solely to generate your site and is stored securely. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The Service uses AI technology (Anthropic Claude) to generate portfolio websites from your resume and rewrite resume text via Glow Up. You acknowledge and agree to the following:
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or formatting issues. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing or sharing it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose, including job applications. AI models may be updated over time, which could affect the style or quality of generated output.
Your uploaded resume content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training. Resume data is used solely to generate your site. It is not used for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.
All AI-generated HTML is processed through automated safety filters before it is stored or displayed. These filters remove executable code, dangerous markup, and external resource references that are not part of your resume site.
You agree not to attempt to manipulate, override, or circumvent the AI system's instructions or safety measures. This includes submitting prompts designed to generate content unrelated to resumes, inject malicious code, or extract system instructions. We reserve the right to reject prompts or suspend accounts that violate this policy.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that generated sites will be error-free, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will meet your expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeHowl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Your resume data, generated sites, and account information are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual resumes from your dashboard at any time. If you delete your account, all associated data (resumes, generated sites, glow-up results) will be permanently removed. Billing records may be retained as required by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
